(8:15PM Wednesday - 7/20/22) A large ridge that has been in place much of this summer across the Inter-Mountain West, Plains and Southeast is beginning to flex back into the region once again, bringing another push of hot and humid conditions to portions of the region and state. These conditions will continue through this week, this upcoming weekend and potentially into the beginning of next week.

Impacts... •Thur, July 21st: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to mid 90's across much of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 90-100. •Fri, July 22nd: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to mid 90's across much of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-105. •Sat, July 23rd: High temperatures ranging from the low 90's to low 100's across much of Illinois, with a few locations topping 100. Peak heat indices of 95-110 are expected. •Sun, July 24th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to upper 90's across Central and Southern Illinois, with a few locations topping 100. Peak heat indices of 95-110 are expected. •Mon, July 25th: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across Southern Illinois, with a few locations topping 100. Peak heat indices of 95-110 are expected.
