Tue-Sun, July 19-24th Heat Wave Potential

(8:00PM Sunday - 7/17/22) As has been the case much of this summer, a large ridge is expected to flex across the Inter-Mountain West and Plains once again, this upcoming week on into next weekend. As has been the case several times this summer, hot conditions are expected to expand into portions of the region and state as a product of this ridge, bringing another heat wave to portions of the state.

•West-Central and Southern Illinois are likely to see the most consistent and hottest temperatures.
•Hot temperatures may extend into other portions of the state at times.

•Tue, July 19th through Sun, July 24th.

•Daily high temperatures well into the 90's are expected for affected areas, with some locations topping 100 at times.
