An area of snow will develop and spread across much of Southern and portions of Central Illinois later this evening and early tonight, then continuing overnight and through Wednesday morning, before ending from Wednesday afternoon. Minor snowfall accumulation is expected, generally ranging a dusting to 1.5" across portions of Central and Southern Illinois. A period of lake effect snow is also expected across Northeast Illinois, early Wednesday morning through Thursday morning.
