Recap... •Three rounds of severe t'storm activity impacted the state, Tuesday morning, April 4th through Wednesday afternoon, April 5th. •The first round of severe t'storm activity impacted Northern Illinois, Tuesday morning through Tuesday afternoon. This activity produced 3 tornadoes, with widespread reports of large hail and damaging winds as well, some of which was significant. •A second round of severe t'storm activity impacted portions of Northern and Central Illinois, Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night. This activity produced 5 tornadoes, with numerous reports of large hail and damaging winds as well. •A third round of severe t'storm activity impacted much of the state, Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. This activity produced 1 tornado, with several reports of large hail and damaging winds as well. •As a whole, the multiple rounds of severe t'storm activity impacted a large portion of the state during this period. In total, 9 tornadoes occurred, along with numerous and widespread reports of large hail and damaging winds, some of which were significant.
