(10:30PM Tue, Jan 24th 2023) A winter storm will continue to affect the state through Wednesday. This winter storm is expected to bring periods of snow to much of the state, through Wednesday evening, with light to moderate snowfall accumulation expected across much of the state. With this update we have increased expected snowfall totals a bit over portions of Southern Illinois, as confidence grows in the expected outcome.

Impacts... •A winter storm is expected to bring periods of snow to the state, tonight through Wednesday evening, Jan 24-25th. Mixed precip is expected across Southern Illinois. •Snowfall accumulation will range from upwards of a 1-3" to 4-7", from north to south across the state. Locally higher snowfall amounts will be possible in the heaviest snowfall axis. •Travel will be impacted, especially across the southern half of the state where highest snowfall accumulation will occur
