(11:45AM Tue, Jan 24th 2023) A winter storm will move through the region today through Wednesday. This winter storm is expected to bring periods of snow to much of the state, this evening through Wednesday evening, with light to moderate snowfall accumulation expected across much of the state. With this update we have increased expected snowfall totals a bit over portions of Northern Illinois, as confidence grows in the expected outcome.

Mixed precip is expected across Southern Illinois. •Snowfall accumulation will range from upwards of a dusting-1" to 2-5", from north to south across the state. Locally higher snowfall amounts will be possible in the heaviest snowfall axis.
