July 9th - Tonight's Forecast... Isolated to scattered showers and t'storms have pushed into portions of Northwest, Western and Southwest Illinois this evening. This activity will push eastward across portions of Northern and Central Illinois into tonight, weakening with time. An environment characterized by moderate instability, moderate moisture and low shear will be in place. This will aide in an isolated severe t’storm threat across portions of Northern Illinois, with damaging wind, large hail and an isolated tornado being the main threats.
July 10th - Wednesday Morning-Night Forecast...
Isolated to scattered showers and t'storms will be ongoing Wednesday morning across portions of Northeast and Eastern Illinois. In the wake of this early activity, additional isolated to scattered showers and t'storms will develop during the afternoon, along a cold front pushing across the state. This activity will sweep eastward across state during the afternoon and evening, exiting the state early Wednesday night. An environment characterized by high instability, high moisture and low shear will be in place. This will promote an isolated severe t’storm threat across much of the state, with damaging wind, large hail and an isolated tornado being the main threats.
