Tonight... A complex of rain and t'storms has been ongoing this evening across Western Illinois. Some of this activity has been severe, with wind and hail being the main threats occurring. This complex is expected to push eastward into Central Illinois the next several hours, eventually weakening and diminishing as time goes on tonight. A continued severe t'storm threat is likely, with wind and hail being the main threats. Wednesday-Wednesday Night... A weakening complex of rain and t'storms and associated disturbance, that originates from High Plains activity tonight, is expected to push into Minnesota and Iowa during the morning. Ahead of this, an environment characterized by high instability, moderate moisture and decent shear will be in place across the state during the afternoon. Regeneration of this complex and/or new development of showers and t'storms is expected to occur across a decent portion of the state during the afternoon. This activity will then continue into Wednesday night. Isolated severe t'storms are likely across a decent portion of the state, with wind and hail being the main threats. The forecast will be refined in the Wednesday morning forecast update, with an upgrade in severe probabilities possible for some areas.
