A weak and fast moving disturbance will move through the region tonight into Wednesday morning. A narrow swath of snow will be likely along and just north of the track of this disturbance. Snow will enter Northwest Illinois in the vicinity of midnight, then spreading into the rest of Northern Illinois later tonight. Snow will then continue, before ending around mid-morning Wednesday. A brief period of moderate to even heavy snow will be possible during this time, within the overall period of general snow. Snowfall totals of a dusting to 1.5" will be likely across Northern Illinois. Below is the snowfall forecast for this event.
