(1:00PM - 11/5/19) A fast moving disturbance will move through the region tonight on into Wednesday, bringing a period of snow to portions of the state.
An area of snow will push into Northwest Illinois early tonight, eventually spreading across much of Northern Illinois tonight through mid-morning Wednesday. Precip may end as a few rain showers or drizzle Wednesday morning. Minor snow accumulation of a dusting is possible for most locations, to around 1" closer to the Illinois/Wisconsin border. A second disturbance will move through the region Wednesday into Thursday, which could potentially bring another period of snow to portions of the state, Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning. However, confidence in this scenario is not high given a large disagreement among model guidance. Below is our TAM snowfall forecast for the event.
