(9:30PM Wednesday - 6/15/22) As a storm system and multiple disturbances move through the region the next few days, a few rounds of showers and t'storms are expected across the state. Given environmental conditions expected to be in place, a severe t'storm risk will be possible with some of this activity the next few days.
With this update, little to no change to the previous forecast was needed for the severe t'storm risk for Thur Evening through Fri morning, as the previous forecast is on track. Location & Timing... -Thursday Evening-Friday Morning, June 16-17th: Central and Southern Illinois. Impacts... -A level 1 severe t'storm risk is in place across Central and Southern Illinois, Thursday evening through Friday morning. Isolated severe t'storms will be possible, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.
