(10:30AM Thursday - 6/16/22) As a storm system and multiple disturbances move continue to through the region the next few days, a few rounds of showers and t'storms are expected across the state. Given environmental conditions expected to be in place, a severe t'storm risk will be possible with some of this activity the next few days.
With this update we have upgraded portions of Central and Southern Illinois to a level 2 severe t'storm risk, for this evening through Friday morning. Impacts... •A level 1 to 2 severe t'storm risk is in place across Central and Southern Illinois, this evening through Friday morning. Isolated to widely scattered severe t'storms will be possible, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.
