(9:30PM Thursday - 6/16/22) As a storm system and multiple disturbances move continue to through the region through Friday, a few rounds of showers and t'storms are expected across portions the state. Given environmental conditions expected to be in place, a severe t'storm risk will be possible with some of this activity, through Friday.
With this update little to no change was needed from the previous update, as the previous forecast is on track based on model guidance and real time observations. Location & Timing... •Tonight-Friday Morning, June 16-17th: Central and Southern Illinois. Impacts... •A level 1 to 2 severe t'storm risk is in place across Central and Southern Illinois, tonight through Friday morning. Isolated to widely scattered severe t'storms will be possible, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.
