(9:00PM - 7/9/19) A one day push of hot and humid conditions is expected on Wednesday, ahead of an approaching storm system.
A narrow thermal ridge aloft will push across the state on Wednesday, ahead of a storm system sweeping through the region. With ample sun, warmer temperatures aloft and good mixing, high temperatures will likely reach from near 90 to the mid 90's across much of the state on Wednesday. These temperatures, combined with dew points well into the 70's, will push head index values around to above 100 for many areas. Looking ahead...Hot and humid conditions may return for the weekend and next week, across at least portions of the state. Below is the TAM heat and humidity forecast for Wednesday.
