(11:45AM - 2/9/21) Another storm system will move through the region on Wednesday, bringing another minor snowfall event to the state, as well as some ice potential.

​Summary...
Another storm system will move through the region on Wednesday, bringing periods of precipitation to the state, and the the likelihood of another minor snowfall event to the state as well as some ice potential. Model guidance continues to be in decent agreement regarding this event, with only some minor placement differences. With this update only minor placements changes were needed.

​Forecast...
​Areas of precipitation are expected to push across the state, overnight Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night/ early Thursday morning. This precipitation will be in the form of snow across Northern and Central Illinois, and snow/ice across Southern Illinois. With cold temperatures in place, snow will be of a high ratio/fluffy variety across Northern and Central Illinois.

​What's Expected...
Final snowfall totals upwards of 1-3" are expected across a large portion of the state. Additionally, ice accumulations of a glaze to 0.10" are expected across far Southern Illinois.
