Model guidance continues to be in good agreement regarding this event, with little change needed with this forecast update.

Areas of precipitation are expected to push across the state, overnight tonight/early Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night/ early Thursday morning. This precipitation will be in the form of snow across Northern and Central Illinois, and snow/ice across Southern Illinois. With cold temperatures in place, snow will be of a high ratio/fluffy variety across Northern and Central Illinois. What's Expected... Final snowfall totals upwards of 1-3" are expected across a large portion of the state. Additionally, ice accumulations of a glaze to 0.10"+ are expected across far Southern Illinois. Some tree damage and power outages are possible across far Southern Illinois. Below is the snowfall and ice forecasts for this event.
