​​(11:45AM Tue, Feb 14th 2023) A winter storm will move through the region Wednesday through Thursday, bringing the opportunity for an isolated severe t'storm risk and accumulating snow to portions of the state.

​Timing & Location...
•Severe T'Storm Risk: Wednesday night - Thursday morning, Feb 15-16th: Southern Illinois.
•Snowfall: Wednesday night - Thursday evening, Feb 15-16th: Northern Illinois.

Impacts...
•A level 1 severe t'storm risk is in place across Southern Illinois, from Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Isolated severe t'storms will be possible, posing a risk of damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado.
•A period of snow is expected across Northern Illinois, late Wednesday night through Thursday evening. Snowfall accumulation of a dusting-1" to 2-5" is expected, with locally higher snowfall totals likely in the main axis.
