(8:30PM - 3/13/19) Evening update on the high wind threat continuing tonight through early Thursday night...
Wind gusts this afternoon and evening have generally been in the 25-45mph range across Central and Southern Illinois. Winds gusts in the 25-45mph range will continue to be likely from now through tonight across Central and Southern Illinois. An isolated higher wind gust is possible as an area of rain and t'storms moves through from now through tonight.
The strongest winds of this event will occur across the state Thursday morning through Thursday evening. During this time wind gusts of 40-55mph are likely across Northern and Central Illinois, with wind gusts of 50-60mph likely across Southern and Eastern Illinois...with isolated gusts in excess of 60mph possible. Winds will gradually diminish across the state Thursday night. Power outages and tree damage is likely for some areas.
